A bad day does not equate to a bad life

Those were the days when we had the freedom to go anywhere or eat anything. We all had this thought once in our life. People should understand that as individuals they have the freedom to pursue anything they like. You can go and travel the world, dance to your favourite tunes and eat your comfort food without any guilt. But as we say that life is chaotic. The hustles and bustles of the city have made a house in our hearts and a room of childhood memories is locked forever. A bad day at the office or in college has the capacity to spoil your overall day or mood. One of the reasons for it is that we have given the liberty to our feelings to overshadow our whole day.

Feelings are the building blocks of human life but letting them control you is not. Remember those days when you were free and you had the capacity to laugh for the whole day. Those days can easily come back if you want to. An extremely bad day in your life cannot equate to a chaotic or bad life. Every morning has hope and scope for new beginnings. Give it a chance. Grab that cup of coffee and restart that project, write your feelings in a journal or express your thoughts to your loved ones. Give a chance to your feelings to express themselves by any means and you will feel the change.

Emotional overload is common these days but we have to take care of ourselves. You have the capacity to control your emotions and make some life-changing decisions. Making those decisions will be difficult but imagine the peace you will get after that. Think about it once!

Here are some tips that can help you to lighten your mood:

  • Listen to your favourite music.
  • Take a walk.
  • Spend some time with nature.
  • Express yourself.
  • Talk to a friend.
  • Go shopping.
  • Spend time with loved ones.

These tips will help you to understand yourself better. Last but not the least, spend some time with yourself. Give time to the situation. Time is the best healer and you will heal.

If you are having a bad day or a stressful one at your workplace that does not mean that you have to spoil your mood for the whole day. Try to control your emotions and prioritise your mental health. Sometimes people ignore their mental conditions for a a prolonged period of time, the results of which can be catastrophic.

People often mistake a couple of bad days and their overwhelming results with having depression or anxiety. One must educate themselves on these terms as they aren’t to be taken lightly. Most importantly, sadness isn’t the same as depression.

People engrossed in chaotic lives can also develop problems such as anxiety. Clinically anxiety is defined as intense, excessive, persistent worry and fear about everyday situations. 

The most common symptoms of anxiety are:

  • Fast heart rate
  • Rapid breathing 
  • Sweating 
  • Fatigue
  • Body pains

You should consult a professional when your symptoms are causing problems in performing daily life activities. 

It is easy to say that we can forget a bad day but what if we are not able to do that? In such cases, we should practice activities such as meditation. They can help you in controlling your thoughts and emotions. Acquire the power to face your thoughts and emotions. A bad day is better than a bad life. Remember that a single day cannot decide your whole future and other projects on the way.
